Local bands, 88.7FM The Bridge, and Fellowship Health Resources will host a day-long community food drive for the homeless in Seaford, DE
Seaford, DE - October 25, 2012 - 88.7FM The Bridge and three local bands (The Reminders, Mike Truitt, and Seventy times Seven) have teamed up with FHR (Fellowship Health Resources) to host a day-long music festival and community food drive on Saturday, November 3, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The local musicians, organizations, and community members will gather under the Stein Highway Bridge adjacent to the Acceptance, Change, Empowerment (A.C.E.) Center at FHR Delaware for this event. To gain entrance, attendees are being asked to donate a nonperishable canned good, or boxed food item in exchange for a day full of live music, free food, and fun. All donations will benefit the homeless population throughout Sussex County.
As a day program, the A.C.E. Center at FHR provides groups and activities such as peer support services, art therapy, group and individual counseling, health and wellness groups, and more. The unique population it serves has allowed FHR to assist members of the homeless community in Seaford since opening the door to the A.C.E. Center in September 2011.
