Although FHR has implemented Peer Recovery Services in its programs for quite some time, the National Association of State Mental Health Program Directors (NASMHPD) is providing funds to introduce Peer Wellness Coaches to organizations across the State of Rhode Island.
Representatives from all nine regions of Fellowship Health Resources explored creativity and self-expression as therapeutic approaches to mental health recovery at the Studio 35 Summit in the Providence Marriott Downtown hotel on May 21 and 22. Region-specific titles were left at the door, and the foundation for Studio 35 was born.
A standing ovation and tears of joy were only the beginning of a successful evening for Fellowship Health Resources' Peer Support Worker Mary Munsell. Her multi-media presentation, complete with paintings, stories, photos, and poetry, at the Lighthouse Christian Fellowship Church was an inspiration for all who attended.
Fellowship Health Resources has kicked off its three-year strategic plan to expand Peer Recovery Services agency-wide. Most recently, FHR promoted Robert Rousseau, MDiv., MA, CPS, MHRE, to Director of Peer Recovery Services to coordinate the effort.
