Fellowship Health Resources display art work throughout the community during the month of May
Phoenixville, PA – June 4, 2012 – Members of Fellowship Health Resources, Inc. (FHR) have been sharing their creative talents at different locations around the Phoenixville community. These “Arts in Recovery” exhibits are part of Studio 35, FHR’s creative arts and music recovery program, and support Mental Health America’s “May is Mental Health Month” initiative. The nationwide, month-long celebration aims to promote mental wellness for all.
During the last week of Mental Health Awareness Month, the traveling “Arts in Recovery Exhibit” was staged in the Outpatient Registration area at Phoenixville Hospital. Located in the main area of the hospital, this area has a constant flow of pedestrian traffic. It presented artists with a wonderful opportunity to show off their work.
Staff say that this week was another exciting week for Studio 35. Many individuals stopped by to view the display. Additionally, it provided a chance for artists to sell their work to the public.
The art sale was a huge success! Several pieces of art were sold and as a result, Phoenixville Hospital has invited FHR back to continue displaying art work in the “Phoenix Café.” The hospital will also assist in the future sale of art to support FHR artists in recovery.
We look forward to sharing “Art in Recovery” with our friends at Phoenixville Hospital.
