Studio 35 workshops at FHR Cape Cod and Islands produce friendship, fun, and creativity
Hyannis, MA – October 5, 2012 - “It’s amazing what happens when artists get together.”
Peer Support Worker Mary Munsell and peers at the Dorothy Bearse Apartments in Hyannis are hosting weekly Studio 35 workshops every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. “Experience doesn’t matter,” Munsell explains. “This is a nonjudgmental place for fun and creativity.”
Some of the artists will prepare pieces for upcoming gallery shows and events across the Cape. “We’ll have submission information for various upcoming shows available for you, but that doesn’t mean you have to work on a piece just for a show,” Munsell says. “If you want to relax, explore your creativity, and have some fun with your peers, these workshops are the place for you.”
Painting and creating alongside one another awakens peers’ creative sides. “Illness takes a backseat to being an artist at Studio 35. We bounce ideas off of one another, creating this stream of creative energy,” Munsell says. “It’s just amazing, and we hope that more people will come and join us.”
Six workshops have been scheduled so far, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday until November 3. Munsell says that they will certainly schedule more workshops if popularity continues.
Interested artists can simply attend, or contact Mary Munsell at 508-367-6488 or mmunsell@fellowshiphr.org for more information.
