A series of weekly art exhibits demonstrate creativity during the month of May
Phoenixville, PA – May 16, 2012 – Members of Fellowship Health Resources, Inc. (FHR) share their creative talents at different locations around the Phoenixville community. These “Arts in Recovery” exhibits are part of Studio 35, FHR’s creative arts and music recovery program, and support Mental Health America’s “May is Mental Health Month” initiative. The nationwide, month-long celebration aims to promote mental wellness for all.
FHR Pennsylvania kicked off their “Arts in Recovery” exhibit at the historic Colonial Theatre on Bridge Street in downtown Phoenixville.
This exhibit was part of Phoenixville's First Friday, a local event for businesses to celebrate the first Friday of every month with music, vendors, arts, and food throughout the downtown area during the warmer months. The “Arts in Recovery” exhibit outside of the Theatre was quite a hit, according to FHR staff.
Many people stopped by the exhibit to admire the beautiful artwork created by Studio 35 artists. Many others inquired about FHR services at the exhibit table. As a result, this art exhibit was not only an opportunity to showcase Studio 35, but became a vehicle for increasing awareness about FHR during Mental Health Awareness Month.
