Did You Know? 3 Resources Available to Individuals in NC

Published 01/16/2019

One of the benefits of being engaged in Mental Health Treatment at FHR are the resources that could be available to you! Some of the resources that clients have utilized include:

1. Primary Care Provider Referral and Linkage:

Finding a Primary Care Provider can be difficult for anyone, but when you don’t have insurance and/or a low income it can seem like an impossible task. We can help! We can provide you with a list of non-profit medical providers in Wake County who serve individuals with no insurance and little or no income. We will also assist in making a referral and linkage to the provider of your choice.

2. Housing Resources/Rental Assistance:

Are you facing eviction? Are you looking for somewhere affordable to live? We can assist with both! We work with Alliance and the Independent Living Initiative (ILI) to provide funds that can stop an eviction process or even pay the start-up costs of moving into a new residence. We can supply you with an extensive list of subsidized housing options in Wake County as well as low-cost property listings.

3. Food Resources:

Sometimes even basic needs can be difficult to meet. Have no fear, because we are here! Catholic Parish Outreach is the largest food pantry in Eastern N.C., serving 8,700 people a month, and you can be one of them. All it takes is a referral letter from our agency and you are able to visit the food pantry once every 30 days and take home enough food for you and your family. We can also offer you a list of other food pantries and food resources in Wake County.

These services and more are available to current clients receiving services at FHR, located in Raleigh and Cary.  For more information contact our intake staff at 919-573-6500.
