From the Pages of the Corner Clubhouse Newsletter: An Employment Update

Corner Clubhouse’s Vocational Unit is proud to announce that in recent months, we have seen a significant increase in member employment, interest, and work shop participation. This interest, coupled with staff support and employment advocacy, has led to recent a number of members securing jobs in the community. Thus, congratulations are in order for:

Billy, who has been hired as a Lot Associate for the Home Depot
Glenn, who has obtained a position with the Dollar Tree
Helen, who has begun a new career in horticulture with Blue View Nursery in Norton
Mike, who with staff supports, has acquired a part-time position with Brothers Market, working in the Redemption Center
James, who has joined the staff of the famous Pawtucket Red Sox as a kitchen employee

The Vocational Unit would also like to thank and congratulate all members who are responsible for the unit’s recent incline in work shop participation. Particularly, those who have been attending Health and Wellness work shop routinely, addressing their health and wellness goals, as a part of their vocational rehabilitation.
