FHR’s Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Drop In Center programs in North Carolina recently collaborated for an ‘Arts in the Park’ sketching class at Pullen Park.
“Members practiced concentrating and following step-by-step instructions to create their own sketch masterpieces,” explained Dana Barnes, FHR Program Director. “Those that thought they couldn’t draw were so proud of their completed projects. They asked questions, eager and excited, to have their pieces look like the fruit bowl I was drawing with them. I am in awe of the completed projects! Watching the intensity and then the fulfillment at the end was a joy for me as well.”
