Clubhouse Generalist

Certified Peer Specialist

Responsibilities: The Peer Specialist serves as a member of a  multi-disciplinary mobile  team that provides intensive treatment, rehabilitation, and supportive services for individuals experiencing multiple life challenges, such as homelessness, unemployment, addictive disorders, legal involvement, and/or significant medical conditions.   Service delivery is based on a person-centered, strength-based model and with advocacy that focuses on individuals recovery.
Qualifications:  The Certified Peer Specialist  (CPS)requires a high school diploma and Certification as a Peer Specialist.   An AA or BA in Human Services is preferred. The Peer Specialist must be a person with lived experience defined as having experienced a mental health condition resulting in significant life disruption.  Preference will be given to candidates that may meet the cultural and linguistic needs of the community. Must have own vehicle and be willing to transports persons served.

Additionally the CPS must practice active listening skills and be willing to share one’s own recovery experience.   Ideally the CPS should be familiar with Wellness Recovery Action Planning (WRAP), and be open to becoming certified as a WRAP group facilitator, and be able to facilitate a peer support group. The CPS must be willing to support the chosen recovery path of persons served.

Responsibilities:  Transition Age Youth Services (TAYS) Clinicians provide intensive strategies to address any current need for stabilization, crisis intervention and individual focused treatment.
